SHORT HILLS, N.J. (AP) - Police have found the SUV taken in a carjacking and shooting death of a man who had finished holiday shopping with his wife at an upscale mall in northern New Jersey.

Newark Police Director Samuel DeMaio says police recovered the silver Range Rover in the southern part of city Monday.

Authorities are still looking for two men who confronted the couple Sunday night in a parking deck at the Mall of Short Hills, about eight miles from Newark.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says the husband, a 30-year-old Hudson County resident, was shot in the head before the men took off in the vehicle. The man's wife was not wounded.

Authorities say a man leaving a northern New Jersey mall after shopping with his wife was shot and later pronounced dead.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray says the shooting happened around 9 p.m. Sunday at The Mall at Short Hills when two men confronted a couple returning to their vehicle on the second floor of a parking deck.

Murray says the husband, a 30-year-old Hudson County resident, was shot in the head before the men took off in his silver 2012 Range Rover. She didn't immediately know how many times the man had been shot.

A statement from the prosecutor's office later Sunday said that the man was pronounced dead at Morristown Medical Center at 11:45 p.m.
