ST. LOUIS COUNTY - The all clear sign has been given at Kirkwood High School after an early morning report of possible shots fired inside the school.
The school's campus was put on lockout early Tuesday morning, according to the Kirkwood School District Facebook page.
Multiple police agencies, including Kirkwood, Glendale, Des Peres, Sunset Hills, Creve Coeur and US Marshals, set up a perimeter at the scene, but found no active shooter on scene.
According to Kirkwood School District Superintendent Tom Williams, school staff heard light bulbs fall over and shatter, which lead to the call to police. Williams said the call was for cautionary measures and followed protocol.
School is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at the high school, according to school officials. All other district schools will start on time.
Students had begun to arrive at the school but were not allowed on campus due to the lockout for precautionary reasons.
