WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- Christmas came early for a Brandon woman.
Her boyfriend, who is also a soldier in the Army, has been gone for close to a year. But tonight he came back, not only surprising her but changing her life forever.
Soldier Wigberto Vazquez has been away from his family for seven months serving in the army.
"First time home since May," said Vazquez.
But Sunday night he prepared for the biggest mission of his life.
"I am kind of sweaty right now," he said.
His girlfriend of two years, Analisa Bosco, has no clue he'd come home. She spent her Sunday night at the Shoppes at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel watching their Christmas special. Vazquez had a different plan.
"She'll cry," he said.
After the Christmas special was over, Analisa was called onto the stage as a winner of some mall gift cards.
But the surprise was about to get even better; Vazquez popped the question.
"Analisa, will you marry me?"
She said yes. It was a proposal that she will never forget. And the best Christmas gift Wigberto could've asked for? He'll ring in the holiday with his soon-to-be wife.
Wigberto will be deploying overseas in March for nine months, but the good news is Analisa will stay busy planning her wedding.
