Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars and defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks agreed to a new multi-year contract on Friday that will keep the five-year veteran off the upcoming free agent market.

NFL.com reported the pact to be for four years and holds a maximum value of $22 million.

Marks signed a one-year contract with the Jaguars in April and quickly established himself as one of the club's core defensive players. The 26-year- old has started all 15 games this season and recorded career highs of four sacks and eight passes defensed along with 29 tackles.

The Auburn product had spent his first four NFL seasons with fellow AFC South member Tennessee, which selected Marks in the second round of the 2009 draft.

In 66 career games, Marks has compiled 128 tackles, seven sacks and one interception while starting 41 times.
