FCN's Chris Porter & Chad Chushner at JAX before they board their flight to Cali for the big game!
After about 14 hours of travel, three connecting flights and loss luggage the Cush Cam and I are now well rested and ready to ROLL!
The trip to California, despite the long travel, wasn't bad. To be honest in every city on this scenic route to Pasadena, I met some nice people.
I'm still pinching myself trying to make sure this isn't a dream. I'm covering the 2014 BCS National Championship Game and getting paid for it. I'm beginning to realize this is REALITY BABY! (Please let me have my moment.)
I'm here and ready to cover every angle of this game, from the fans to great places in Pasadena to meeting different journalists from around the country.
Yes, I've been acting like a tourist taking pictures of anything and everything here in Cali, but hey I might not ever get this opportunity again. I'm sort of jealous though because Cush is out and about seeing Hollywood, but you better believe I'll get my chance before it's all said and done.
After I'm done writing this blog, I'm going to put together a couple of stories for the early newscasts and sportscast. I just had to let you guys know how great being here is (trying to remain calm here in the media room). I don't want to get kicked out because a young reporter is all pumped.
I promise in my next blog I'll be talking football, so until then FSU and Auburn fans be easy. Game day is just around the corner.
I'm out and 'Keep rolling those highlights!'
