MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Dorothy Bogdan moved to Middleburg shortly after her husband died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City.
The community welcomed her and her two kids with open arms, she said. "It's almost as if it was his time."
Her husband, Nick, worked the overnight shift at the World Trade Center and was 15 minutes away from leaving the building when planes crashed into them.
His remains were never found. She now has a memorial to him on her motorcycle and encourages others to ask about him.
Her son, now a student at Middleburg High School, remembers that day, and his father, although her daughter doesn't.
