PITTSBURGH, PA -- Kicker Josh Scobee hit the game winning field goal with under a minute to go in the game, then the defense stole Pittsburgh's last second rally with a sack and fumble to seal a 31-29 victory.
"The heart of champions," said quarterback David Garrard who saw his team let an 18-point lead slip away late in the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars season hung in the balance on a fourth-and-2, with Pittsburgh leading 29-28.
Garrard rambled 32 yards to the Steelers 11 yard line with just under two minutes to ago. It set up Scobee's game winner.
"I just wanted two yards to continue the drive, but to get 32 yards is pretty sweet," gasped Garrard, as he recalled his game-saving scramble in a post game news conference.
It's the first time ever that a team has beaten the Steelers twice at home during the same season.
The Jaguars defeated the Steelers last month, but this game had much more at stake.
Jacksonville moves on to the next round, but the Super Road Trip doesn't get any easier.
The Jaguars will either play on the road at New England or Indianapolis.
