Stockton, CA (Sports Network) - Tony Gill scored 17 points off the bench to
lead the Pacific Tigers to an 80-62 victory over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos
in a Big West Conference matchup at the Spanos Center.
Travis Fulton and Ross Rivera each added 11 points for Pacific (8-7, 2-1 Big
West) which has won three of its last four.
Alan Williams posed a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds and Kyle
Boswell added 15 points off the bench for UC Santa Barbara (5-10, 1-3) which
has lost four of its last five. T.J. Taylor also dished out nine assists.
Despite shooting just 42.4 percent from the field in the first half, Pacific
went into the break leading 38-25 by hitting 6-of-15 shots from beyond the
arc. UC Santa Barbara connected on 45.8 percent of its field goal attempts in
that time but just 2-of-8 from 3-point range.
In the second half Pacific heated up to 56.5 percent shooting, including a 7-
of-13 effort from long distance while UC Santa Barbara clocked in at 47.6
Pacific converted 13 UC Santa Barbara turnovers into 16 points while turning
the ball over only five times as a team.
