Spartanburg, SC (Sports Network) - Jake Cohen and Chris Czerapowicz each
netted 15 points to lead the Davidson Wildcats to a 68-57 win over the Wofford
Terriers in a Southern Conference matchup at Johnson Arena.
De'Mon Brooks and Tom Droney also scored 13 points a piece as Davidson (15-7,
10-1 SoCon) won its sixth consecutive contest.
Spencer Collins finished with a game-high 24 points for Wofford (8-15, 2-8)
while Karl Cochran added 14 points. Indiana Faithfull filled the stat sheet
with eight points, nine assists and six boards.
Davidson shot 62.5 percent in the first half and led 38-23 at intermission
behind Czerapowicz' 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting. Both teams took care of the
ball in the period as they combined for just nine early turnovers.
Wofford cut its deficit to as little as six points with 4:52 remaining on a
Collins' three-point play. But Davidson scored the next five points on Cochran
free throws and a Cohen triple to seal the win.
Davidson held a 15-2 bench scoring advantage and improved to 74-24 all-time
over the Terriers.
