Williamsburg, VA (Sports Network) - All five starters for the William & Mary
Tribe scored in double figures, paced by 20 points from Brandon Britt, as they
dismissed the Georgia State Panthers, 75-63, in a Colonial Athletic
Association clash at Kaplan Arena.
Britt shot 7-of-11 from the field, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range for
William & Mary (12-14, 6-9 CAA), which has won three straight games. Matt Rum
netted 16 points, Tim Rusthoven had 11 points, Kyle Gaillard recorded 10
points and nine rebounds, and Marcus Thornton also scored 10 points for the
For GSU (14-15, 9-7), R.J. Hunter led the way with 15 points, while Manny
Atkins logged 11 points and nine boards. Rashaad Richardson chipped in 10
points for the Panthers, who had won their previous two tilts.
William & Mary shot a lofty 62.5 percent from the field in the first half,
while GSU made less than 40 percent of its field goal attempts, as the Tribe
went into intermission with a 38-27 lead.
The Tribe's impressive shooting from the field continued after the break
(.524) as their advantage never dipped below four.
William & Mary shot 12-of-18 from 3-point range, while GSU was only 6-of-24
from beyond the arc.
