Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Cody Doolin knocked down a runner with 0.5 seconds left on the clock as the San Francisco Dons captured a thrilling 61-59 win over the Loyola Marymount Lions in a West Coast Conference battle at Gersten Pavilion.

Doolin finished with 13 points for the Dons (12-15, 5-9 WCC), although he shot just 4-of-12 from the floor as the team snapped a two-game slide. Cole Dickerson was responsible for a team-best 16 points, connecting on 4-of-6 shots behind the 3-point line, followed by Mark Tollefsen with 11 points in the triumph.

The Lions (8-19, 1-13) were paced by Anthony Ireland who scored a game-high 21 points, while Ashley Hamilton and Alex Osborne both dropped in 11 points and combined for 17 rebounds as the team watched its losing streak reach 11 in a row.

The Dons appeared to be well on their way to a comfortable victory, shooting 51.7 percent from the floor in the first half, en route to a 40-25 advantage at the break. USF converted 7-of-16 shots beyond the arc over the first 20 minutes, compared to the Lions who made just 2-of-9 on the perimeter.

In the second half the visitors made a total of just seven field goals, but the defense came alive as the Dons held LMU scoreless for more than two minutes down the stretch, giving Doolin the opportunity to play the hero.

San Francisco picked up the win despite being beaten on the glass, 37-27, clearing just three at the offensive end, and turning the ball over 17 times.
