Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Alabama earned its way into the BCS title game this year. AJ McCarron's go-ahead 45-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper with 3:15 remaining lifted No. 2 Alabama to a 32-28 victory over No. 3 Georgia in a back-and-forth SEC Championship Game thriller. The Crimson Tide, who are looking for their second straight national title and third in four years, will play No. 1 and undefeated Notre Dame in the BCS title game on Jan. 7, 2013. Alabama shut out LSU, 21-0, in last season's BCS Championship tilt, despite not playing for the SEC crown after finishing second in the SEC West. Crimson Tide defensive back Dee Milliner appeared to seal the win following his diving attempt for a potential game-clinching interception, but the play was overturned following a review. With 45 seconds on the clock and the ball at Georgia's own 28-yard line, Aaron Murray hit Arthur Lynch for a 15-yard gain and completed a 23-yard pass to Tavarres King before firing another strike to Lynch, this one for 26 yards down to the Alabama 8-yard line as the time continued to wind down. Georgia had no timeouts at its disposal. The Bulldogs elected to not spike the ball and Murray snapped it with nine ticks to play. It appeared that Murray attempted to lob a pass for Malcolm Mitchell at the back-right corner of the end zone, but the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage and landed into the arms of Chris Conley in the right flat. He fell down at the 5-yard line and time expired. Eddie Lacy carried the ball 20 times for 181 yards and two scores, while T.J. Yeldon added 153 yards and a touchdown on 25 rushes for the Crimson Tide (12-1, 7-1 SEC), who ran for an SEC Championship- record 350 yards in the triumph.

Final Score: (12) Oklahoma 24, TCU 17

Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Oklahoma's Big 12 title hopes are still alive, at least for a few hours. Damien Williams ran for 115 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, while Landry Jones threw for 244 yards with a pair of scores as the 12th-ranked Sooners held on for a 24-17 win over TCU. Oklahoma (10-2, 8-1 Big 12) closed the regular season with its fifth straight win and must now root for arch-rival Texas to beat Kansas State on Saturday night. A Kansas State loss would give the Sooners the outright Big 12 title and a guaranteed BCS bowl berth. TCU (7-5, 4-5) was coming off a 20-13 win at Texas on Thanksgiving night, but closed its first season in the Big 12 with a losing conference record. The Horned Frogs were 0-4 in conference play at home. Trevone Boykin threw for 231 yards with a touchdown and ran for 36 yards with another score for the Horned Frogs, but had the tying touchdown called back by a holding call in the final minute.

Final Score: (16) Oregon State 77, Nicholls State 3

Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Storm Woods had two first quarter touchdowns and Cody Vaz threw three touchdown passes as No. 16 Oregon State destroyed Nicholls State, 77-3. Vaz passed for 190 yards on 14-of-17 attempts while Sean Mannion added 231 yards and two scores on 20-of-23 passes for the Beavers (9-3), who were coming off a 48-24 loss to Oregon in the Civil War last week. Markus Wheaton had 12 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown and also had a rushing touchdown in the win. Landry Klann passed for 164 yards with two interceptions on 19-of-32 attempts for the Colonels (1-10), who dropped their final eight games of the season after their only win on Sept. 22 against Evangel. This contest was supposed to be the season opener for both teams on Sept. 1, but it had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Isaac.

Final Score: Baylor 41, (24) Oklahoma State 34

Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Lache Seastrunk carried the ball 16 times for 178 yards and a touchdown, as the Baylor Bears closed out the regular season with a 41-34 victory over the 24th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. Nick Florence completed 23-of-39 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown for the Bears (7-5, 4-5 Big 12), who beat Oklahoma State for the first time since the 2005 season. Florence also carried the ball 18 times for 71 yards and a score. Tevin Reese hauled in five passes for 108 yards and a touchdown for Baylor, which ended the regular season with three straight wins. Clint Chelf connected on 30- of-51 passes for 333 yards, two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions for the Cowboys (7-5, 5-4), who have lost two in a row. Joseph Randle carried the ball 23 times for 139 yards and Josh Stewart caught 12 passes for 147 yards and a score.

Final Score: (25) Boise State 27, Nevada 21

Reno, NV (Sports Network) - Joe Southwick threw for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 19-of-26 efficiency as No. 25 Boise State held off Nevada, 27-21, at Mackay Stadium. D.J. Harper totaled 130 yards and one score on 24 rushes for the Broncos (10-2, 7-1 MWC), who have won three in a row and assured themselves a share of the Mountain West Conference crown. Matt Miller added 127 yards and a TD reception on seven catches, and Chris Potter also hauled in a Southwick pass for a score. Cody Fajardo finished 14-of-20 for 203 yards, adding 81 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries for the Wolf Pack (7-5, 4-4), who finished the regular season with four losses in their last five. Stefphon Jefferson contributed 139 yards and two rushing scores on 28 attempts.
