OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens have released Xavier Lee, the one-time Florida State University quarterback who is hoping for an NFL career as a tight end.
Lee was considered one of the nation's top recruits at quarterback in 2004 after a stellar career in high school, but he started only six games for the Seminoles and was suspended twice for missing classes.
The Baltimore Ravens had signed him this spring as a rookie free agent and he practiced with the team as a tight end.
