Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Carl Hagelin's third-period goal proved to be the
difference, as the New York Rangers handed the Tampa Bay Lightning their first
home loss of the season with a 3-2 triumph on Saturday at Tampa Bay Times
Derek Stepan and Rick Nash each scored once, while Taylor Pyatt added a pair
of assists for the Rangers, who have won three of their last four.
Martin Biron got the start in place of Henrik Lundqvist and stopped 30 shots
to earn the victory.
Steven Stamkos continued his torrid start with a pair of goals and has
recorded at least one point in every game this season, but it wasn't enough,
as the Lightning saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
Mathieu Garon was charged with all three goals on 30 shots in the setback.
