Kansas City, KS (Sports Network) - Sporting Kansas City announced Tuesday that
club has traded midfielder Michael Thomas to Toronto FC in exchange for a
natural second-round pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
"Michael had an incredible attitude and work ethic while he was here,"
Sporting manager Peter Vermes said. "This decision was of mutual consent.
Toronto is a team that was very interested in him and we wish him all the best
with the opportunity."
Thomas has appeared in seven MLS matches for Kansas City since signing with
the club in January 2012. The 25-year-old also made two starts for Sporting in
the U.S. Open Cup.
