Shanghai, China (Sports Network) - Andy Murray will play for a third consecutive title at the Shanghai Masters after beating top-seeded Roger Federer in the semifinals on Saturday.

Murray swatted five aces and converted 3-of-11 break points on his way to a 6-4, 6-4 victory, his second straight over the world No. 1.

The third-seeded Brit topped Federer in the gold-medal match at the London Olympic Games and followed up that triumph by breaking through with his first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open.

Murray outlasted Novak Djokovic in five sets in Flushing Meadows last month and the two will meet for the first time since in Sunday's final.

Djokovic booked a spot in his 10th final of the season by defeating fourth- seeded Czech Tomas Berdych, 6-3, 6-4. It was his tour-leading 69th win of the year.

The second-seeded Serb will be aiming for his fifth title of the year and second straight after winning in Beijing last week.

In addition to his win at the year's final major, Murray topped Djokovic in the Olympic semifinals. Djokovic, however, still owns an 8-7 edge in head-to- head meetings.

The 2012 Shanghai champ will collect $669,450.
