JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Friday, all of the local action for the 2013 Davis Cup will get underway at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena between the U.S. and Brazil.
On Tuesday, students at Stockton Elementary got a chance to play against the members of the U.S. Davis Cup team at their school.
It was all a part of the United States Tennis Association's 10 and under program, which gives kids the chance to learn real tennis and have fun doing it.
The students at Stockton Elementary can thank Wallace Grissett, a 4th grader at the school, for the experience.
Grissett won an essay contest and in doing so his school was awarded an assembly and a game of tennis against the members of the U.S Davis Cup team.
U.S Captain Jim Courier says it's all about creating the next generation of tennis players.
Also, the USTA donated $1,400 worth of tennis equipment to the school.
The 2013 Davis Cup starts Friday at 1:30 p.m. and will run through Sunday.
