Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sports Network) - David Nalbandian and Horacio Zeballos sent Argentina to the Davis Cup quarterfinals Saturday with a doubles victory over the German duo of Christopher Kas and Tobias Kamke.

Nalbandian and Zeballos claimed a 6-1, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 triumph to give the hosts an insurmountable 3-0 lead in the best-of-five tie.

The Germans were without Philipp Kohlschreiber, who was scratched from the doubles bout after suffering a hamstring injury during Friday's singles play. Kohlschreiber was actually one game away from giving Germany the first point of the tie when he was forced to retire against Carlos Berlocq.

Juan Monaco then rallied for a four-set win over Florian Mayer in the second opening singles match Friday and the doubles tandem of Nalbandian and Zeballos finished the job Saturday.

The Argentines beat Germany in the first round for the second straight year and will face France in April's quarterfinals. The French also wrapped up their opening-round tie on Saturday against Israel.

Argentina now owns a 7-2 advantage over Germany in the all-time Davis Cup series.
