ALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - An Atlantic Coast Conference showdown Sept. 22 against Clemson and a visit by perennial rival Florida for the regular season finale Nov. 24 highlight Florida State's seven-game home schedule for 2012.
Clemson defeated the Seminoles 35-30 last September and went on to win the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Florida State's first four games are at home against Murray State, Savannah State, Wake Forest and Clemson before visiting South Florida on Sept. 29. The Seminoles also play at North Carolina State and Maryland. Their open date comes in week 10 prior to a Nov. 8 Thursday night trip to Virginia Tech.
The home schedule was weakened when West Virginia reneged on a Sept. 8 visit that left Florida State scrambling to find a replacement, which resulted in the addition of Savannah State,
