JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This past Friday night, the Jacksonville Sharks lost for the first time since the season opener on March 12th.
The San Jose SaberCats defeated the Sharks 83-70 to snap a 13-game winning streak. With the loss, the Sharks' record drops to (13-2). They will try to get back to their winning ways on Saturday against the Dallas Vigilantes who are (10-5). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Sea Best Field inside Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
Saturday night is also "Shark-A-Ritaville" which means that fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite island-wear.
The Sharks have already clinched a playoff spot and a division title. The team has a perfect record of (7-0) at home so far this season.
40-year-old quarterback Aaron Garcia has thrown at least 9 touchdown passes in both of the last two games. He needs just one more touchdown pass to surpass 100 for the season. This will be the third time in his career that he thrown for at least 100 TD passes, and that will be an Arena Football League record.
Garcia already owns the AFLrecords for most touchdown passes, passing yards, and completions in a career. Now, he is just three interceptions away from owning the dubious distinction of most career interceptions.
