'Sharks Day' in Jacksonville, City Celebrates Arena Bowl Victory with Downtown Parade

  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The City of Jacksonville is hosting a parade downtown to celebrate the Sharks' win last week in the Arena Bowl.

    Today was proclaimed as "Sharks Day" and everyone is encouraged to wear red.

    The party starts at 5 p.m. at City Hall and the parade starts at 5:35.  It will go down Hogan Street to The Landing.

    First Coast News Sports Anchor Chris Porter will be at The Landing for the post parade party.

    Where the players are scheduled to arrive at The Landing at around 6:15 p.m.

    Chris Porter will have live reports from The Landing beginning at 5:30 p.m., then again at six.

    The Sharks beat Arizona 73-70 with a thrilling, last-second touchdown in the highest-scoring Arena Bowl ever.

    It's the team's second year in town.
