Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kristi Toliver led a balanced Los Angeles
attack with 15 points to pace the Sparks to a 77-73 win over the Atlanta
Lindsey Harding and Alana Beard each scored 13 and Nneka Ogwumike totaled 12
points for the Sparks, who won their sixth straight game. Candace Parker
pulled down 10 rebounds.
Angel McCoughtry scored 24 points to lead Atlanta, which lost its third in a
row following a six-game winning streak. Erika de Souza had 15 points and 18
rebounds and Armintie Herrington scored 18 in defeat. Le'coe Willingham pulled
down 12 boards.
The Sparks trailed by as many as nine points in the first half, but used a
17-5 spurt at the end of the second quarter to grab a 37-34 edge at the break
thanks to Toliver's 3-pointer in the closing second.
