PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Since Tuesday is the best day for fans to get autographs and photos of their favorite players before the start of the competition, tournament organizers have designated it "Pens, Pics and Players Day."
Fans were encouraged to look for signs around the practice range and Autograph Alley behind the Clubhouse for the best spots to catch a glimpse of their favorite players, snap a photo and get an autograph.
Spectators waited with flags, caps, shirts or books to have PGA Tour players sign them with permanent markers. A memorable experience with a souvenir to take home.
There was also a special page in Tuesday's Pairing Guide where fans were encouraged to collect signatures, then submit a photo of their completed page via Twitter or Instagram using #PenPics.
A social media campaign also alerted fans through Twitter when players were heading to the practice range to warm up; social media caddies also provided updates on player locations.
Looking closely at the photo gallery accompanying this story, First Coast News' own Chris Porter had many followers of his own.
