JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- May 26th the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team will play Scotland. The match will signify the start of the men's summer campaign.
The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. at EverBank Field. It will be shown live on the NBC Sports Network. The game will serve as the debut broadcast of a U.S. National Team game. Fans will also be able to watch the match live on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker and by following the team on Twitter at @ussoccer.

U.S. Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann said, "Jacksonville has an amazing facility and is the perfect place for us to begin our important summer schedule. We are excited to bring the U.S. National Team back to a part of the country where we haven't visited in many years."
The last time Jacksonville hosted a U.S. Men's National Soccer TEam was February 6th, 1999. The U.S. team upset the favored Germany team 3-0.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Jacksonville to host some of the world's top athletes in a match that will attract global attention. Jacksonville has the staff, experience and facilities to make this a fun, fan-friendly, family event for people of all ages," said Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown. Brown is encouraging fans to enjoy Downtown Jacksonville as well as EverBank Field.
According to a release, the U.S. team has faced Scotland six times. They hold a record of 1-3-2 in a series that goes back to 1949.
After Scotland the U.S. team will continue its summer schedule by playing five-time World Cup champions Brazil May 30th in Landover, Md. This will be the first ever match at FedEx Field. This match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, ESPN3 and Univision.
Ticket information for the U.S. versus Scotland matchup will be announced soon. If you want to be among the first fans to find out when you can buy tickets you may join the U.S. Soccer's ticket alert email list. By purchasing a membership to the U.S. Soccer Supporters Club fans will be able to purchase tickets before the general public.
