This afternoon slain Detective David White's body was transported by motorcade from Shands Jacksonville hospital to Clay County.
MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler this afternoon announced funeral arrangements for Detective David White.
A police motorcade transported White's body from Shands Jacksonville hospital back home to Clay County Friday evening.
Beseler said Detective White's viewing will be Sunday, February 19th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The viewing will take place at Russell Haven of Rest Home in Green Cove Springs.
The funeral for Detective White will be held Monday, February 20th, at 10 a.m.
The funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church of Middleburg.
The burial is open only to family and fellow law enforcement members and will have a private reception to be held afterwards.
There is an account set up for anyone wishing to donate money to the families affected.
The account is under the name Sheriff's Humanitarian fund at the Heritage Bank of North Florida located at 794 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park. The account number is 1520387212.
Meanwhile condolences continue to come in. Governor Rick Scott said "I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Clay County Sheriff's Office Detective David White."
In honor of White, Scott is requesting that the state flag be lowered to half-staff at the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Green Cove Springs City Hall and the Clay County Courthouse Monday.
