ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Four men were arrested in connection with several shootings that happened in October, according to a news release from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Through investigation, the Sheriff's Office identified the suspects as Denzel Daquan Gadson, 19, and Trennod Gerail Gadson, 21, both of the 100 block of Collier Street; Everett Davon Thompson, 31, of Jacksonville;  and Kenneth William Floyd Jr., 22, of the 900 block of Oak Arbor Circle, according to SJSO Public Information Officer Kevin Kelshaw.

Robbery/homicide detectives found that "an escalating series of events" on Oct. 16 led to two incidents involving gunfire near West King Street. One incident happened on Collier Street near Murray Middle School and a car was shot at near West King Street Extension and West King Street, Kelshaw said.

T. Gadson was charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle. Thompson and D. Gadson were each charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Floyd was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle, Kelshaw said.

Thompson was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Service for charges out of DeKalb County, Ga., while the other three suspects are being held in the St. Johns County Jail on bonds of $250,000 each.
