BALDWIN, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested one man after he and another man ran during a dope deal bust by the Baker County Sheriff's Office on U.S. 90. in Baker County.
According to Baker County Sheriff Joey Dobson, police were trying to break up the deal when the two suspects drove to Baldwin because they are from that city.
The two then got out of the car and fled on foot. Dobson was not certain if the men were armed or not, but he said ammunition was found in their car.
The main suspect who was arrested ran to his grandmother's house. She initially refused to give him up to the police, but she decided she didn't want to deal with the chaos and released him, Dobson said.
Since the man was arrested in Duval County, he will be booked into the Duval County Jail.
