Sherry Lee Prather
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has released the identity of human remains found in a wooded area on Braddock Road last week.
Missing persons detectives discovered the bones November 14 in a wooded area near the 12600 block of Braddock Road. The detectives were there following up on a lead on a missing persons case.
Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said the remains have been identified as being 43-year-old Sherry Lee Prather.
Family members reported Prather missing in October. She was last seen at the Boots and Bottle Tavern on New Berlin Road at Friday, October 12. Witnesses told police they saw Prather talking with two men sitting on motorcycles in the parking lot around 2:20 a.m.
Bujeda said homicide detectives suspect foul play in Prather's death.
