JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit is investigating a Tuesday night shooting that has left one man dead.
At 5:30 p.m., JSO responded to shots fired in the 2500 block of West 25th Street, according to Sergeant Jay Farhat.
A black male victim who has not yet been identified was transported to Shands where he was later pronounced dead.
Right now, JSO is trying to locate witnesses and does not have suspect information or a motive. It is still very early in the investigation, Farhat said.
Some witnesses did flee on foot, Farhat said, and JSO is trying to track them down.
