ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- An overnight fire brought firefighters back to the same home on Tart Road for the third time in two weeks.

An arson sign is now attached to the mail box of the home where Calvin and Betty Mauldin lived for nearly 40 years.  The couple died this month within two weeks of one another.

The first fire happened in mid November just days after Calvin died.  Two others happened this week, one on Wednesday afternoon with the last one in wee hours of Friday morning.

"It is scary. Never seen anything like this before in my life," said Frank Henley a family friend who stopped by the home on Friday morning after learning of the latest fire.

St. Johns County Fire Chief Carl Shank says three fires at one home is very unusual especially in a span of two weeks.

Shank says his arson team along the with State Fire Marshal are on the case.

Anyone with information can call the St. Johns County Fire Department at 904-209-1700.
