JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Despite missing the goal of generating 50,000 likes, the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to donate the full $50,000 maximum donation to the Jacksonville Humane Society as part of the "Like Us, Love Them" Facebook campaign.
The Jaguars Foundation made a promise to donate $1 for every new like the team received on their Facebook page in November with a maximum donation of $50,000.

During November, the team's Facebook saw 12,500 new likes on their page thanks to the campaign.
Peter Racine, Jaguars Foundation president, said that in appreciation of the Humane Society's efforts, the team will donate the full amount.
Racine said, "The Jacksonville Humane Society provides a variety of valuable services to our community, and we are excited to support their animal welfare and education efforts."
The Jaguars' donation will be specifically used for children's education and outreach programs.
Denise Deisler, Jacksonville Humane Society's executive director, said, "We are delighted the Jaguars have chosen to give us such a generous donation. We will use the money to teach children lessons of kindness and compassion towards all living beings."
