St Johns Sheriff's searching for missing man, Ronald Pariso

JULINGTON CREEK, Fla. - The St. Johns Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help locating a missing elderly man with dementia.

Ronald Pariso, 77, was last seen in the 300 block of Blue Lake Road in the Julington Creek area Tuesday morning, according to a release from the St. Johns Sheriff's Office.

Pariso is described by the SJSO as 5-feet-7 tall and about 143 pounds with grey hair. Pariso was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants, and white sneakers and was possibly carrying a suitcase.

Pariso, originally from Pennsylvania, now resides in Fruit Cove, according to the SJSO.

Kevin Kelshaw, Media Relations Officer for the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, said investigators obtained information Pariso was picked up by a Duval County car rental company.  Police now believe the 77-year-old is driving to New York.

Police have issued a silver alert from Florida to New York.

Police believe Pariso is driving a 2013 Chevrolet Crus with a Florida tag of 703 IVW.  Kelshaw said Pariso left around 11 a.m. Tuesday according to the rental company.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of this man is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office at (904) 824-8304 or 911, if it is an emergency situation.
