JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The CEO of JAXPORT has resigned his position effective immediately, according to a news release from JAXPORT Chairman James Citrano.
It has been known since November that CEO Paul Anderson would be leaving to take the same position with the Tampa Port Authority.
In a statement released last month, Chairman Citrano said he would be asking Anderson to stay at JAXPORT for an unspecified period of time.
Executive Vice President Roy Schleicher, Chief Operating Officer Chris Kauffmann and Chief Financial Officer Mike Poole would handle JAXPORT's affairs until a new chairman is named, Citrano wrote last month.
Citrano said Tuesday that the JAXPORT Board of Directors will hold a special meeting tomorrow, Dec. 19, at 10am to begin looking for Anderson's replacement.
