JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 22-year-old Middleburg man has been indicted by United States Attorney Robert E. O'Neill's office on charges he received child pornography via the internet.

A release from O'Neill's office said Daniel Richard Bakaley was indicted by a federal grand jury charging him with one count of receiving child pornography over the internet.

If convicted, Bakaley faces a minimum of 5 years and up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

Law enforcement arrested Bakaley at his home December 20.  O'Neill said he is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

O'Neill said the case against Bakaley was investigated by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
