PALM COAST, Fla. -- An undercover sting in the Graham Swamp Preserve led to the arrest of two men on charges of indecent exposure.
According to a release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Leslie Colombo, 70, and Charles Bitzer Jr., 68, were arrested within a minute of each other on a walking trail at the Graham Swamp Preserve.
At about 1:09 p.m. Thursday, Colombo approached an undercover deputy, exposed himself and asked the deputy to walk back to the parking lot with him, the release says. Once there, the release says Colombo exposed himself a second time and asked the deputy to perform sexual favors for him. At that point, Colombo was arrested.
Bitzer Jr. exposed himself and masturbated in front of a different deputy at about 1:10 p.m., which, according to the release, was after a brief conversation with the investigator. He, too, was arrested.
The deputies are part of the Sheriff's Safe Neighborhood Unit, and Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre said the unit will continue its operations at the preserve.
"Our goal is to create a safe environment for visitors to the preserve," Manfre said in the release.
