JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- More than 300 people came out to show their support for an injured motorcyclist Sunday.
David Pippin was critically injured in December 30 accident on Atlantic Boulevard.
Pippin's friends, family and even those he did not know participated in a dice run to raise money for his recovery efforts.
It took ride organizer Ethan Hodges three weeks to organize the event. He used a Facebook page to help promote the dice run.
"There was 252, I think it was, who said they were coming on Facebook. But from all the talk, we're looking at over three-hundred," Hodges said. "And that's just big!"
Pippin's daughter, Jennifer Pippin, recalled her father putting together similar rides for motorcyclists, and she appreciated the effort.
"It's nice to see everybody come together for him. I've been with him for a few bike rides that he's put together for other people. So it's really nice to see that everybody came together for him," she said.
