CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. - The Camden County Sheriff's Office is offering a new service for keeping residents in the know.
Sheriff Proctor with the Camden County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that the CodeRED Emergency Notification Network is now available in Camden County.
CodeRED can be used to notify residents via phone of anything ranging from a rash of burglaries to a severe weather threat.
Both home phone numbers and cell phone numbers can be registered for the service. Notifications will come is as voice or text messages.
According to a Facebook post from the Camden County Sheriff's Office, registration information is, "guaranteed to remain private and will only be used to notify you in situations for which you signed up."
