JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating an officer-involved crash that happened Friday afternoon at 6th and Hubbard streets.
According Sgt. D. Washington Jr. with JSO's Traffic Homicide Unit, a black Toyota Camry was going northbound on Hubbard Street when an it was hit by a JSO vehicle that ran a stop sign while traveling west on 6th Street.
After the collision, the two vehicles spun out of control and the JSO vehicle collided with a Chevy Trailblazer that was traveling southbound on Hubbard Street, according to Washington.
Occupants of the Camry and the patrol cruiser were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The driver of the Trailblazer was not injured.
The investigation of the crash is still in its preliminary stages, but according Washington, the officer appears to be at fault at this time.
