JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Starting Thursday at Noon, the way you watch First Coast News on television is going to change.
The graphics, colors and music you've heard on FCN 12/25 will be changing. The changes are based on feedback that we received from our viewers to make the news watching experience higher quality and easier to follow and understand.
At the bottom of the screen, there will be a new Information Bar. This will describe the news story the Anchor is telling.
Underneath that will be the Lineup. The Lineup shows the next three stories that are coming up. Finally, the News Ticker will be at the bottom of the screen. The Ticker will will show the latest news headlines, sports scores, weather forecasts and financial information.
All the new graphics are based on the color scheme of USA Today, which is also owned by FCN's parent company, Gannett.
News will be blue, Weather will be yellow, Sports will be dark red, Life will be purple, Technology will be orange, Money will be green, Breaking News will be bright red, Travel will be aqua and Opinion will be gray.
