JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Mandarin pet store is asking for the public's help in finding two puppies that were stolen from the store on Friday night.
A nearly three-month-old male "Morkie" (a cross between a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier) and a two-month-old female English Bulldog were taken from Pet World on San Jose Boulevard just before 11 p.m. Friday, according to store manager Kathleen Easterling.
Surveillance video from the neighboring Verizon Wireless store is being examined by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and a police report has been filed, Easterling said.
The male "Morkie" has black and light tan coloring and the English Bulldog is white and light brown. Additionally, the English Bulldog has a mole on the outside of her upper left ear and a hernia scar on her stomach.
If you have seen the puppies or have any information about the break-in, you are asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500 or Pet World at (904) 262-4646.
