JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was pinned underneath a truck Sunday when a woman accidentally ran over him, according to police.
Around 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon a woman, 60, was helping 54-year-old Clarence Johnson move into a camper at a mobile home community in the 4200 block of Phillips Highway, according to police.
Detective J.C. Hurst with the Jacksonville Police explained the woman was attempting to "back a pick-up truck into a space next to a camper. Her foot slipped off the break and onto the accelerator."
She accelerated and ran over the man, said Hurst.
Hurst said the man was "pinned under the vehicle" and was still under the white pick-up truck when rescue units arrived.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Shands where he later died from his injuries.
The woman does not face any charges at this time, and Hurst said there were "no indications of any alcohol."
An investigation is continuing.
