PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office nabbed five suspects, following anonymous tips on illegal drug activity.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office put undercover offices on the streets Friday to purchase drugs from street level dealers in East Palatka and the Putnam Hall area of Putnam County, according to a release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Dealers allegedly sold crack cocaine to undercover deputies and were immediately arrested.
Samuel Thomas, 56, was charged with selling cocaine within 1000 feet of a church. 22-year-old Nicholas Edwards was charged with battery on law enforcement officer. Derek O'Neal, 55, was charged with selling cocaine, cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. 45-year-old Jeffrey Hayes was charged with selling cocaine and Danny Hylton, 60, was charged with driving while license suspended.
