JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Any new parent can understand. But the incident scared local military mom, Patricia Kruezberger. Now she's glad she called for help to the Fleet and Family Service Center.

Her baby, Anna, was happy and cooperative during the day, but at night she would sleep maybe an hour and then wake up. That was draining for the young mom, especially when her husband is  deployed on a submarine.

She says Fleet and Family services was "great," and she's glad she called and explained her frustrations. They gave her 21 ways to get her baby to sleep at night.

She said, of course, she never touched or harmed her baby, but one night she found herself yelling for Anna just to "go to sleep." Immediately, she realized that would do no good.

But the free advice from Fleet and Family services inspired her to change around the bedtime routine in a way that made Anna drift off to sleep.

Fleet and Family services is an opportunity free of charge open to active duty or to retired military personnel. Professionals offer everything from financial advice to marriage counseling to retirement info to job hunting tips.
