JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Many successful companies have them: secret formulas to their success.
So does the lottery have a secret formula too?
Some people hoping to win the $600 million dollar Powerball jackpot hope so.
"I think this is the ticket, I'm pretty confident," said Rick Santaite of his winning strategy. "I play Powerball and Mega Millions every week, probably $10 each time. I came close to winning once," he said.
He plays his brother and sister's birthdays ... his fiancee is the Powerball.
And that one time he almost won, he blames it on the cosmos, not his strategy.
"The one I came close with is my brother and sister's birthdays, and if he had been born one day later, I would've won. Yea, I had a 3, he was birthed on the 3rd, and a freaking 4 came up," he said.
Other people are focused on a more divine intervention.
"Lots of prayer, belief, and trust. We have favor and this is our season," said Wanda Harris.
While the odds of winning are astronomically high, here's hoping everyone gets something out of their Powerball ticket.
"I won Brett Michaels tickets at the bar! So that's something," said Santaite.
In reality, the odds of winning are more than one in 175 million. So really, you just need a whole lot of luck.
