People began dropping off flowers, stuffed animals, balloons, candles and even a crown and tiara for Cherish Saturday afternoon.

Many people that visited the memorial said they did not know Cherish but live in the neighborhood.

Cherish's mom was also at the memorial on Saturday to see the spot where her daughter was found.

There will be a candlelight vigil for Cherish at Highlands Baptist Church at 2159 Broward Road, Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

The pastor of the church would like everyone to come regardless of whether or not they personally knew Cherish.
