JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An arriving employee of Just Kids Learning Center found a broken window, a stolen money box, and other damages to the inside of the property, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police report.
Police arrived around 6 a.m. July 2 and saw the smashed computer on the front desk and broken glass from the north side window, where it appeared the suspect reached through to open the side door for entry. The back door seemed to be where the suspect exited.
The suspect allegedly destroyed the front desk area and attempted to pry open a blue locker with hidden cash in the back room, which no one knew about, according to the employee.
An evidence technician was called to the scene for further investigation, but there is no video surveillance at the property and no witnesses. The business is located in an isolated wooded area with no nearby businesses or residents.
The area was not canvassed and JSO is still investigating the incident.
