HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. -- Two people were killed outside a bar in High Springs early Saturday morning. Now authorities are looking for Willie J. Wingfield III -- a man they believe has knowledge of the incident.
Around 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning, Columbia County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the Santa Fe Bar on US Highway 441 after receiving a call that two people had been shot and killed.
The victims were identified as Dennis Lamont Smith, 38, and Erik Antonio Akins, 24, from Fort White.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out in the parking lot of the bar soon after 1:00 a.m.
The shooter left the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival, according to police.
Police are now attempting to locate Wingfield, a 21-year-old also from the Fort White area.
