(NBC MIAMI) -- A young girl, who authorities were searching for in connection
to a possible abduction, was found with her two parents.
Earlier, authorities had issued an Amber Alert after after a
driver saw what appeared to be a child in the trunk of a gray 2013 Chevy Impala,
Miami-Dade Police said. But no one had reported a child missing.
A witness said the car was seen heading south on Red Road when
the trunk opened in the area of SW 58th Avenue and SW 40th Street. Another driver
saw what appeared to be a little girl in the trunk, police said.
A man got out of the car to close the trunk, and he then turned
left on Bird Road, heading east. The other driver was able to get the license
The car was a rental and the agency said the renters were
Hernan E. Daza-Noellino and Anna Rita Di Frances Cantonio, who police said were
the girl's parents.
Police were questioning the parents.
