LAKE BUTLER, Fla. -- With one victim in Saturday's shooting in Lake Butler still in critical condition, dozens lined up to give blood Monday.

LifeSouth set up two blood mobiles outside the Spires Food Store in Lake Butler Monday. Organizers said they were very steady with donors all day long. Ricky Jenkins was one of the many who donated. He knew all of the victims in Saturday's shooting.

"It's just tragic. It's sickening. Nobody understands and it makes me sick to my stomach," he said.

He made it a point to donate for Griffis on Monday. Jenkins said that's the way people in Union County and Lake Butler are.

"We always come together for our people in our county - if there's somebody in need - blood, house fire, food, we come together in this county", said Jenkins.

Since the shooting, well over 100 people have donated blood, but there's still a need.

LifeSouth Blood Center's location in Gainesville will be open Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The address is 1221 NW 13th Street. If you're donating for Griffis, you're asked to make that request in person.
