JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a triple shooting at the West Chase Court Apartments early late Monday night.

The incident occurred just before midnight. Sgt. Dan Janson with the JSO Homicide Unit said three men were shot at the apartments on 103rd Street in the Oak Hill Village area shortly.

One victim has been identified as 24-year-old Anton "Tony" White, who died from his gunshot wounds. The additional victims are said to be two men in their twenties.

Both injured men were transported to an area hospital, where one was in surgery early Tuesday morning. One of the victims suffered life threatening injuries, while the second victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe a fight led to the shooting, but are still unsure what prompted the fight.

JSO does not know if any of the men involved were the gunman, and are continuing to search for a suspect.

Witnesses have been taken downtown for questioning.

An investigation is underway.
